Character Areas
Street lights, signalization master arms, tram lane and paving materials will be consistent in each character area to provide a unifying element throughout the Front Beach Road Community Redevelopment Area. Three character areas or aesthetic options have been created to celebrate the area’s unique characteristics:

The Streetscape will:

• Reflect the area’s unique environment through the use of materials, colors and textures
• Build upon the organic coastal forms
• Provide enhanced landscape opportunities
• Create a safe, accessible and enjoyable pedestrian experience

A Streetscape Manual Has Been Prepared that:

• Identifies the streetscape amenities
• Provides technical information for developers and property owners
• Allows for integration of streetscape elements into current construction
• Acknowledges the diversity of the CRA through the establishment of distinct character areas and aesthetic option
