Mayor Gayle Oberst welcomes you to Panama City Beach, Florida, Home of “the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches.”

The City of Panama City Beach is approximately 16 square miles located along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida’s Great Northwest. The City is populated by over 13,453 permanent residents and it is estimated that an average of 25,000 people visit the area each day.
The City government consists of four at-large council members and a mayor and it operates a police department of over 60 officers and a fire department with 22 professionals.

The City has experienced an 8% growth rate each year and is made up of a diverse population. Community life is supported by various education institutes, various recreational and social areas including parks, senior and youth centers, golf courses, and a fishing pier, a branch of the Bay County library, and numerous medical, vision, and dental offices.
